Enrollment Instructions

    • The applicant should note that if he /she is in employment, trade, business, or profession, he/she will not be enrolled as an Advocate
    • Those who have passed their qualifying examination or Bachelor’s degree or LL. B. degree from outside Maharashtra & Goa and Union Territory of Daman, Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli will have to submit an affidavit stating ‘‘If the concerned University disqualifies, my said degree, then in that event my name will be removed / struck off, from the roll of the advocates maintained by the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa.’’
    • If any statement or fact stated in the application is found to be false at any time, the name of the applicant shall be liable to be struck off from the roll under the provision of sub-section (I) of Section 26 of the Advocate Act, 1961.
    • Upload Passport size photograph in Dress Code Only and Signature. Take note that Photograph & Signature size should not be more than 500 kb on the Enrollment Form and Rule-40 form.
    • All photocopies of certificates submitted alongwith this application shall be attested by Principal of Law College or by Judicial Officer or by Oath Commissioner or Notary or Member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa or Gazetted Officer and the same will be verified by the Bar Council at the time of Online submission.
    • If there is any change in the name of applicant, the applicant shall file affidavit specifically mentioning “Due to my marriage, my name changed from to the person by name ………………..and ……………. is one and the same”, to that effect and submit an attested copy of marriage certificate or and copy of official Govt. gazette in which such change is notified.
    • Undertaking on affidavit be submitted stating that the convocation certificate of degree in law and of qualifying degree will be submitted immediately on receipt.
    • Timing for enrolment purpose will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. & 3.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. only on working days. Office will be closed on every 2nd & 4th Saturday & Public Holidays.
    • INCOMPLETEONLINE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
    • The Applicant will have to remove defects if any within fourteen days. If the defects are not removed within fourteen days the application will be filed.
    • The Applicant has to submit hard copy of Online Application Form alongwith all required documents by post within 14 days from the submission of Online Application Form.
    • TAKE NOTE that as per Order passed by Hon’ble Madras High Court in Cont. P (MD) No. 2355/2017 dated 11/01/2018 between S. Desikanathan V/s. Bar Council of India & Ors. and as per the Circular issued by Bar Council of India dated 23/01/2018,at the time of submission of Application for Enrollment, the applicant has to submit the AFFIDAVIT alongwith Enrollment Form.
    • Take note that the applicant has to complete the compliance of all requisite documents thereafter to make the ONLINE payment of fees should pay through NEFT/ RTGS/ NET Banking and also send the details of payment receipt alongwith enrolment form.
    • Take note that Application form should be printed on Ledger Paper (Legal size).
    • Takenote that download the Certificate of good moral Character fill it and Upload the said Certificate.
    • Note : This Certificate should preferably be given by an Advocate having more than 10 years practice and he should be on the roll of the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa.He should have known the applicant for more than 2 years.

Enrollment Process Overview

Step-by-Step Guide in Words

  1. Form Submission
    Complete and submit the enrollment form.

  2. Payment
    Make the required payment to proceed.

  3. EN Number Generation
    After payment, an Application Number (EN) is generated for your application.

  4. Initial Compliance Check
    An admin is assigned to review your form for compliance issues.
    This review typically takes 4-5 working days but may vary depending on the admin’s workload. Please be patient during this period.

  5. Compliance Notification
    If any compliance issues are found, the Admin will notify you via email with specific details.
    You must address and resolve these issues to continue with the enrollment process.

  6. AGENDA Cases
    If your application involves special conditions (such as police cases, in-service status, age above the limit, low HSC marks, or other criteria), your form will be marked as “AGENDA.”You will receive a PDF of your form with the AGENDA mark.

  7. Second-Level Review
    If there are no compliance issues, your form advances to the SuperAdmin for a second-level check. If the SuperAdmin identifies compliance issues, you will be informed via email and must resolve them to proceed.

  8. Final Approval by SuperAdmin
    If your form passes the SuperAdmin review, you will receive the final PDF form for submission.

  9. Council Member Revie
    Once approved by the SuperAdmin, your form is assigned to Council Members for Enrollment Number generation.

  10. AGENDA Form Review
    For AGENDA cases, Council Members schedule a monthly meeting to review these forms. You must attend the meeting with your AGENDA-marked PDF, all original documents, and a set of notarized photocopies.

  11. Council Approval
    Council Members hold meetings (usually twice a month, depending on the number of applicants) to review and approve all forms.

  12. Issuance of E-SANAD & E-ID Card
    After final approval at all stages, you will receive your E-SANAD and E-ID Card via email.
